I.C.E. is a leading developer of standards for both certification and certificate programs, and it is both a provider of and a clearing house for information on trends in certification, test development and delivery, assessment-based certificate programs, and other information relevant to the credentialing community. I.C.E. is accredited by the American National Standards Institute as a standards developer.

NCTRC is a proud member of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (I.C.E.). I.C.E. organizational members have demonstrated their understanding of best practices in credentialing, and how to incorporate them into their daily activities and specific role.

NCTRC is an independent credentialing organization that was designed to meet the recognized credentialing standards for certifying agencies. Since inception, the organization has followed the standards of the I.C.E. and its accreditation branch, the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). NCTRC has maintained its charter membership with I.C.E since 1987. In 1987, I.C.E. created NCCA to help ensure the health, welfare, and safety of the public through the accreditation of certification organizations that assess professional competence. NCCA is the accrediting body of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence.
