National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) is a non-profit, international organization dedicated to professional excellence for the protection of consumers through the certification of recreational therapists. NCTRC is the premier credentialing organization within the profession of Therapeutic Recreation.
The Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist® (CTRS) credential offered through NCTRC represents the benchmark for quality recreational therapy services and provides assurance to employers, consumers, and the public that the practitioner has met educational and professional experience requirements, has passed the NCTRC Certification Exam, and is qualified to provide recreational therapy services.
